Regulating, Voicing, and Tuning a Steinway

Apart from the inevitable eraser shavings that come with being a piano teacher, this old upright (1960) is still playing well, though it needs regular maintenance. Without regular maintenance, it will sound like a broken accordion in no time flat! On this scheduled maintenance, two visits were needed. I ordered tuning, voicing, and regulating. Music Theory Exams

Maryland State Music Theory Exams are held throughout the year. The Donnelly Music Studio will participate this March. Six students will attend and go for the gold! After six consecutive honor roll scores, students earn a trophy given to them by the Maryland State Music Teachers’ Association in conjunction with the Royal Conservatory of Music “Celebrate Theory” series.
